It’s been so long since my last post! My life has been so hectic recently with uni and everything. Finally, it’s all over and I’m on holidays for a month. Phew! A while ago I took some photos of an outfit I wore out to lunch. It was so long ago, I can’t really remember the circumstances but a cafe catch-up sounds most likely – it’s probably one of my favourite things to do. Since then I have actually lost the jacket. I think I left it behind somewhere. Hopefully, someone somewhere in Brisbane is happily enjoying their life one jacket richer. I only had it for a few weeks, so they got it in perfect condition.
I realise the skirt in these photos looks horribly creased and abused, but I swear this is just how it looks. I have tried ironing it – to no avail. So no judging!
Blazer – Portmans, Skirt – Portmans, White T-shirt – French Connection.
I can’t believe it’s been so long since I last posted! Uni is proving to be a lot of work, and it seems like I don’t have time for anything. My schedule is completely packed and I have all this study to catch up on. In fact, I’m supposed to be doing an assignment right now. Oops!
Before all this mayhem started, I took some snaps of an outfit I wore to ‘Market Day’ at the university, which was basically just a whole bunch of stalls crammed together advertising ‘free cotton candy’ and whatnot. Very hot and unpleasant I must say! However, as always, I cheered myself up with some shopping therapy. Ahh, there’s nothing quite like fashion to take your mind off a hot, busy day.

The one thing about university which I’m particularly struggling with at the moment is the lack of a social life. I feel like I’ve lost all my friends from high school, although we do try to keep in touch, and now I have to start from scratch all over again. And it’s proving to be difficult. I just can’t seem to meet anyone who I connect with in any way. I have extremely mild acquaintances in some of my classes but nothing at all to be considered ‘friends’. Everyone else seems to have met their lifelong best friends and then there’s me without anyone. Oh well, perhaps in a few weeks everything will be different. Who knows, I might meet my future best friends in a few hours!
I wore this outfit out shopping today … and of course now I’m broke. Oh well, there’s nothing I like more than to spend my hard-earned cash on some lovely new outfits! And I bought three pairs of shoes today for an absolute bargain. What a successful day!
Eh hem … apologies for the chicken wings in the next photo. I was uhhh trying to “twirl” …

With Autumn (or fall, as some call it) just around the corner for us down in Australia, it’s time for a little Autumn makeover in my closet. Although I still have plenty of cardigans, scarves and woolly jumpers leftover from last season, I always feel that the turn-over from Summer into Autumn is a great opportunity (or perhaps … excuse) for a shopping spree! And here is my wishlist:
1. ASOS: Skater Dress in Pleated Lace –
2. Estee Lauder: Pure Colour Eyeshadow in ‘Hot Cinnamon Shimmer’ –
3. Topshop: Knitted Woven Print Jumper –
4. ZARA: Blouse with Jewel Applique –
5. SABA – Anna Chino Pant:
6. Bardot: Rude Cambon Jacket:
7. Giorgio Armani: Rouge D’Armani Lipstick in ‘400’ –
University – scary or exciting? Liberating or imprisoning? I haven’t quite made up my mind about it all yet. Only two weeks to go before orientation week, and then … it all begins. I went to get my ID card today – a horrid experience! It doesn’t seem to matter how long you spend on your hair, makeup and various poses, it always seems to turn out all wrong. And today was no exception. If only you could submit your own photo, or at least if they would let you see it before they print it to check if it’s all okay. But no, it’s just one big nasty surprise. Oh well, it’s done now. You may not be surprised to know that I met up with my girls today clad all in Sportsgirl gear. I know, I’m rather pathetic. I just love their clothes so much, and everything I’ve ever bought has proved to be worthy of frequent use. So I shan’t defend myself any more. You may have to get used to seeing a rather extravagant amount of Sportsgirl clothes from me! Oh and apologies for the marks on the shirt, I have no idea what they are but I just noticed them.
This was my outfit for today –

I did it! I finally have a camera! Isn’t that exciting? Now I can take photos of beautiful things and share them with you all. I must just say a huge thank you to my grandfather (‘Pop’ as I call him) for gifting me with this camera, and I’m sure it will be in frequent use. The other day I tested it out with a new outfit I bought from Sportsgirl (an Australian brand which many of you probably won’t have heard of). As you will see, I haven’t quite figured out how to use it beyond the pressing of a button to take the picture. I took some photos in my mum’s bathroom as it’s the only room in our house with a big enough space and mirror to take a photo of oneself without chopping off half of ones body. Apologies for the shocking quality and embarrassing setting for these photos, but they are my first attempts so please don’t judge too harshly. I paired this monochromatic outfit with a (surpise, surprise) black bag from Sportsgirl and some cat-eye sunglasses from … you guessed it – Sportsgirl. I never realised how much stuff I have from there until right now, as I write this post. Anyway, I did a little holiday shopping yesterday and bought many things not from there, so I can’t be too obsessed. I hope to show those to you in due course, but for now, feast your eyes on these truly awful photos of my OOTD taken in bad lighting in a bathroom. Again … sorry!
